George Clinical announces that it has achieved a Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. This is the first time the organization has pursued certification and earned a medal from EcoVadis. An EcoVadis Rating validates the organization’s business sustainability commitments and performance.
George Clinical’s score places the company in the top 45th percentile globally. EcoVadis is the global standard for business sustainability ratings. The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. More than 85,000 companies globally have been rated by EcoVadis.
“We are pleased to earn this inaugural recognition by EcoVadis as a testament to the sustainable business practices we are adopting across the enterprise,” said Jacqueline Thorn, commercial director and country head, Australia/New Zealand for George Clinical.
EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidenced-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
